Sales Officer

We are looking for our Cocoa & Chocolate for a Sales Officer Responsibilities and Duties 1. Sales support External communication with customers about their specific needs and problems and internal communication with relevant departments such as application, logistics, laboratory, documentation, credit control to ensure that optimal solutions are found to protect our companies interests as well as create customer loyalty and satisfaction. Most important core activities: – Identifying the wishes of the customer and ascertaining whether the specifications can be met. If needed, in collaboration with application, planning or logistics department – Co-ordinate and organize providing after-sales service – Advising customer on subjects like coverage, contract and payment positions, availability, shipment issues. – Entering complaints, advising complaint coordinator on situation / action to be taken, – Follow-up on marketing mailings – Updating price indications, negotiating contracts with selected customers – Follow-up on ‘customer satisfaction survey’ – Foster connectivity with other Cargill BU’s. Where beneficial jointly approach customers internally or externally 2. Contract management, planning, logistics Supporting Sales, Planning, Finance, etc. departments with contract execution. Most important core activities: – Booking contracts, handling contract conversions / repositioning requests, and check proper execution – Assist planning department with call offs – Releasing orders, based on financial / document status, – Initiate item set up and follow up, – Initiate customer requirement registration and follow up. – Managing overdue payments and backlogs; communicate internally and externally. – Gathering information for, and updating budgets – Supporting external offices with converting quotations 3. Market intelligence, new business development Making market information accessible for Area Managers, Technical Support Specialist, etc. Most important core activities: – Supporting area/regional managers on retrieving required information for special projects – Assist with investigating potential sales prospects and ‘market potential’ investigation for new Cargill cocoa products – Ensuring smooth collaboration and communication with customers on new business / product initiatives. General Education, Knowledge & Skill Requirements Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial (support) or logistics position, preferably with an exporting company. Knowledge of logistics & sales transactions: documents, legislation, (payment) conditions. Knowledge of the supply of raw materials to the food industry. High-level communication skills, self-starter, taking initiative, accurate, team player. Good English skills (both speaking and writing), and preferably also French or German.
