Department: Finance & Controlling: The F&C department of the Mercedes Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht N.V (MBCAC) reports directly to the F&C organization of Daimler AG. Within the MBCAC the departments deals with both the classic accounting and controlling activities as well as with specialized call center – and provider controlling and holds the responsibility for purchase, legal & compliance. A multinational team of professionals acts towards headquarter and internally to the responsible managers and relevant departments in a supporting and communication role. Major task is ensuring proper financial / business administration next to transparency to increase our high class performance. The right applicant is not only capable to calculate the figures but also to interpret, analyze them and is conscious of the consequences. Controller – Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Support the Controlling team to achieve the department targets Support in day-to-day Controlling tasks such as annual budgeting and forecast for the business processes and the preparation of power point presentations. improve cost efficiency and cost control in finance Primarily responsible for the delivery/ calculations of the controlling (financial) reports Provide effective financial analysis and presentations Support preparation Advisory Board Meeting Backup for the Controlling colleques during holidays or illness Develop, implement and manage processes, instruments, products and systems in line with internal customer needs, MB CAC policies and budget and other restrictions and monitor proper use, in order to support others in performing their job and provide management with relevant information. Key Accountabilities Specifications Gather and process information regarding client demands and market developments in order to improve the quality and usefulness of developed processes, instruments, products and systems. Development Develop and implement new processes, instruments, products and/or systems, in line with the existing policies, guidelines and procedures, in order to support the business process in an optimal way. Improvement Evaluate, propose suggestions and improve processes, instruments, products and/or systems in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the business processes. Implementation and monitoring Support implementation, provide information and develop training materials and documents in line with procedures, guidelines and policies and monitor adequate use, in order to ensure optimal contribution of processes, instruments, products and systems. Reports Draw up and analyse reports and define improvement opportunities in line with procedures and guidelines in order to enable management to take appropriate measures. Budget management Continuously focus on and take action towards cost reduction, in order to contribute to cost effectiveness of the MB CAC. Projects Manage or take part in projects in the area of expertise, in order to guarantee that specific knowledge is used in an efficient way. Knowledge, Skills &Experience Support the development of processes, instruments and products, incorporate client needs into instruments or products. Operate within clear guidelines and procedures or under supervision of more experienced colleagues. Vocational know-how, basic knowledge in the own area, potential for development for the future.
