For the Danone Baby Nutrition Divisional Headquarters we are looking for a: (full-time) Your Mission: As Scientific Risk Assessment Manager you identify, define and communicate the Food Safety Standards for the Baby Division with particular reference to Microbiological, Contaminant, Allergies and other scientific hazards and establish suitable safety standards for the global marketing and consumption of products. The risk related to the age and vulnerability of infants and young children must be considered for all products and special products for other groups such as pregnant and lactating mothers if required. Key Accountabilities: Write and issue the ‘Divisional Food safety Standards’ for all products of Baby Division. Coordinate inputs internal and external experts. Prepare position statements and communicators briefs for internal and external stakeholders. Provide Guidance to all internal stakeholders for risk analysis in Projects, Booster and Capex projects. The main challenge is to define and implement Food Safety requirements that are cost and businesses focused and provide the highest level of food safety with changing raw materials, processes, packaging, claims, and preparation methods for different age groups. Your Profile: Higher Degree or Qualification in Medicine/ Veterinary Science or suitable scientific discipline (PhD or equivalent). 5-7 years experience in a senior Scientific or Regulatory role. Knowledge of unit operations in processing including heat transfer, size reduction, product transport etc. Skills in auditing and raw material sourcing are required so as to ensure that environmental contaminants and risks can be fully integrated into projects. Competencies in the application of Microbiological, Chemical, Nutritional and other food related standards to Projects and Products. Active network both internally and externally (with the general scientific community) is required. Open, friendly, authoritative approach so as to act as a decision maker, facilitator, or expert as the situation required. High degree of innovative and lateral thinking. Fluency in English. Knowledge of a second language (preferably French) would be a plus.
