Sales Development Specialist – Lexan Film
The Challenge The Sales Development Specialist is commercially responsible for growing the focus segment business of Specialty Film & Sheet at customers based France, Belgium, or The Netherlands. You are responsible for the market- and application development in the Lexan EID , Automotive coated and uncoated segments. In this role you need to find a good balance between strategic customer approach and short-term goals. You should develop a good relationship within all hierarchy levels at direct customers (distributors and converters), at specifiers (OEM’s) and within SABIC, and develop deep application and market expertise within the above mentioned focus segments in the region. For this, you will work closely together with the Segment Leaders, Technologists, Product Management and Inside Sales representatives. Key responsibilities include: Drive profitable growth and share expansion within the assigned portfolio/territory. Leverage technical and commercial knowledge to discover, define, develop, deliver and translate high margin value added business at existing and new customers. Deliver application design productivity and leverage delivered value to secure material specification via value recognition and contracting for value process. Translation of key technologies and validation of new technologies at assigned customer(s) through in depth knowledge of OEMs strategy and the specification/decision making process. Represent all aspects of the company’s business and is a conduit of information for interfaces on a NA basis for the assigned customer(s) – including all contractual and commercial arrangements. Bring the “Voice of Customer” to SABIC-IP Product Marketing Team to better identify New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities that enable the application development process. Give input for Sales & Demand planning (S&OP) Your Profile Strong interpersonal and communication skills Good engineering skills & polymers knowledge, and capability to provide an acceptable level of technical support and product information Proven success in tech. sales/marketing +3 yrs. Team player who possesses a strong desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, goal oriented organization Ability to manage complex business situations High level self-confidence: sell up the hierarchy Engineering plastics customer/market experience Strong business management skills High energy with a strong desire to deliver results Strong sense of accountability and respect for meeting the commitments High level of self-confidence and ability to approach high level people at customers Solid analytical skills Ability to manage complex business situations and to make rational decisions with speed and simplicity Fluent local language( French ) and very good English skills is a must.
