As a result of a promotion Mead Johnson in Nijmegen is currently looking for an ambitious: Manager Supply Planning Position The Manager Supply Planning is responsible for managing all supply planning activities. From longer term planning (strategic plan, budget, mastManager supply planingerplan) to short term productionplanning and –scheduling. And for all material planning (base, ingredients, packaging materials) as well as finish goods inventory planning for Europe. In this position the Manager Supply Planning must make sure that the agreed product availability and inventory (working capital) targets as well as targets on economic production frequency are met, by continuously improving related processes and procedures in close cooperation with counterparts in the European regions and other regions. This position reports into the Associate Director Planning & Logistics. Key performances areas of the Manager Supply Planning – Effectively leads and develops the Regional Planning function, through coaching and development of direct reports in this function (8 Fte’s). – Leads and communicates throughout related functions to share problem analysis, solution alternatives, requirements definitions and negotiated deliverables. – Leads the Supply Review meeting as part of the S&OP cycle. – Develops plans for complex assignments for planning process improvement that define clear, measurable goals and objectives for cross functional team members. – Leads the development and utilization of systems and tools to measure changes in capacity, inventory and production requirements. – Is responsible for change management of all Regional planning processes and associated technology by writing or modifying appropriate SOP’s, reference guides and training materials and educating involved staff. – Is responsible for achieving the regional inventory objectives, identifying opportunities – carefully trading of inventory cost vs. other cost – thus continuously improve inventory targets. – Ensures executing of all agreed inventory planning, production planning and material requirements planning (internal and outsourced). Internal contacts: Operations Manager, Ensuring production meets planning targets. Manager Customer Service: Ensuring availability issues are communicated to appropriate markets/customers and right commercial priorities are set. Demand Manager: Ensuring availability to forecasted demand. External contacts: Global Planning: Supporting global network optimizations roll up of S&OP information. Regional Planning Asia Timely optimization of base supply Qualifications and experience – Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Business Econometrics, Logistics Management) or equivalent experience in a related field required. – 3-6 years experience in leading a professional staff; second or third leadership role. – Hands-on and strong focus on results, effective communications skills and networking relationships. – Experience in managing complex supply chain planning processes, preferably in food or pharmaceutical industry. – Mastery of materials management and planning concepts and processes. – Advanced understanding of supporting enterprise planning systems and tools, and developments therein. – Understanding of financial and operation metrics (such as delivery performance, inventory days on hand, days of supply, cost of capital, …).
