Manager Accounting & reporting
Purpose of the position: The Manager Accounting & Reporting Europe is accountable for the month-end pan European management of the financial consolidation process and the related (financial) reporting requirements. Manage the consistent application of US GAAP in Europe. Work together with the US and European finance teams to develop and maintain financial policies and procedures and participate in projects related to financial accounting and reporting. Primary Accountabilities: Assist in the month-end International financial consolidation process and associated reporting requirements based on US GAAP (for example consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow reporting, Intercompany reconciliation, balance sheet reviews); Work with the team in respect of the quarterly and year-end closing and audit processes; Work with the local finance teams for your region on the consistent (US GAAP) accounting and application of Office Depot (accounting) policies and procedures; Work with the US and European team on the development and implementation of global financial policies and procedures; Work with the team to ensure Sarbanes Oxley (Section’s 302 and 404) compliance at a European level; Manage the monthly pan-European allocations methodology to ensure that costs are being allocated correctly in a standard manner; Assist in the roll out and use of the new global EPM platform that will include the consolidation of financial information; Act as a back up for theAccounting manager pan-European activities for the day-to-day accounting of the pan-European accounting activities.
