Distribution Manager – VWR Europe & Benelux Territory

The objective is to achieve targeted sales and profit objectives from VWR and the Benelux territory and also to manage VWR at a pan European level. To include monitoring and developing the existing distributor network, maintain and grow existing distributor business and relationships, and to establish the distributor channel as the preferred go-to-market channel for lab consumables products. Essential Responsibilities Develop senior and long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the distributor organizations, including business leaders, marketing and product managers, sales leaders and purchasing managers to secure mindshare for GE products. Achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting, by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, develop distributor penetration, and obtain complete territory coverage. Provide transactional support to distributors such as maintaining price lists, master data files, special price quotations, monitor stock levels Identify key distributor needs and act as customer advocate internally to align the business to those needs Develop and implement strategic marketing plans with each distributor to drive business growth and focus their market activities. This will include implementing campaigns and promotions to increase sales. Monitor performance of distributor network and develop / implement action plans to achieve maximum revenue and margin impact. Develop distributor segmentation and implement optimization plans. Develop distributor penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and product ranges, communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements Planning regular distributor reviews; hold product and business presentations and providing training. Sales negotiation and deal closure at the distributor, interfacing with all key buying influencers Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of GE and competitive products Providing leadership to local sales teams and coaching of distributor’s sales teams Be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
